The Red Crossbody is charged with the responsibility of assisting local healthcare systems in disaster preparedness by providing emergency relief, reconfiguration and restoration, and long-term engagement. The Red Cross Society has experienced professionals with a wide range of geographical and work expertise. Experts help in instituting long-term development initiatives in the medical sector alongside the ability to use operations and maintenance tools in collaborative skills training.

United States citizens are prone to many health threats. Some of the common dangers include; chronic diseases, substance addiction, abuse, mental health issues, lack of vaccinations, violence, and disasters. Most Americans suffer from chronic kidney failure, cancer, and diabetes (Forsythe, 2018). Drug and substance abuse, such as alcoholism, is a problem for the United States population. Many people in the U.S continue to take drugs and other substances.

Additionally, mental health issue, which is the second leading cause of death, is on the rise and claims Americans’ lives. Violence and disasters are also health risks in the United States. Most individuals are prone to disasters such as road accidents and fire accidents. Disasters have varied effects on public health, depending on their extent. First, local health systems may fail depending on the severity of the disaster and the level of public readiness.

When health care professionals are disaster victims, the remaining employees may be unable to handle the increased quantity of medical needs (Forsythe, 2018). The resulting consequence is the inability to obtain healthcare facilities and a shortage of skilled healthcare practitioners. Moreover, insufficient resources and the inability to access safe water for drinking are also effects of disasters in the United States.

Red Cross society impacts the health needs of the United States local community in many ways. The Red Cross assists local health care systems in preparing for and responding to disasters by providing emergency relief, reconstruction, and restoration, and long production cooperation. The National Societies advocate for and implement disaster mitigation measures, such as improving household and society coping methods, improving pre-disaster living conditions, and developing organizational level readiness. The Red Cross has a large team of qualified healthcare workers with diverse geographical experience. Expertise gained from integrating long-term health initiatives and the ability to share and use diplomatic operational tools in joint training programs (Forsythe, 2018).

Apart from emergency aid, the UN societies must recognize their instrumental roles in their nation’s healthcare programs. Besides, the programs must give an account of formally recognized promoted public health, preventative medicine, therapeutic interventions, and control guidelines. Several health promotion strategies are required to improve the health of the population. Establishing healthy public safety and generating environments that support health are two proposed health strategies. Furthermore, evidence-based prevention techniques can strengthen public health action, construct personal skills, and refocus health services.

The Red Cross society’s mission is to safeguard victims of violent rebellion and violence’s lives and integrity. It also provides needy people with health and disaster assistance. Since Red Cross Society is neutral and impartial, it alleviates suffering by boosting and enforcing humanistic law and universal humanistic fundamentals. The Red Cross’s health policies are based on the ability to achieve its mission and vision: first aid policy, health policy, essential drugs, and medical supply policy. It is also based on promoting a safe and sustainable national blood systems policy. The first aid policy aims to ensure that there is enough personnel to deal with accidents and injuries. Health policy is a set of principles that determines how health care is delivered and accessed.

Moreover, essential drugs and medical supply policy address the approaches that guarantee the availability of high-quality essential drugs. Furthermore, it outlines the roles in emergency response operations and population wellness through long-term developmental health care programs. It includes endeavors of the UN at the national scale in helping line ministries in the implementation of public drug policy and regulations and the application of critical drug initiatives.

Funding sources on Red Cross society have the impact of carrying out programs effectively and efficiently. Policies and legislation in Red Cross society ensure compliance to set rules and regulations, and hence integrate decision making and streamline internal procedures. Social justice in community health intervention implies health rights for all people. Principles of social justice are equity, access, participation, and rights. Every US citizen has the right to have fair treatment, especially in health matters. Furthermore, individuals have the right to participate in serious deliberations involving their health.

Women, veterans, the disabled, and minority suppliers are all given equal opportunities by the Red Cross. It helps to sustain the economic growth of the people they serve. It improves health care as every individual has access to Red Cross benefits as well as education. Health communication includes both verbal and written strategies for persuading and empowering individuals to make healthier decisions (Forsythe, 2018). Health communication also involves the use of research-based techniques to form products and materials. Experts in the field recognize old wisdom, ideas, dialect, and preferences in a range of cultures and contexts. Health education, internet connectivity, press attention, and cultural sensitivity of specific populations are all considered factors. Some of the media outlets available are brochures, billboards, newspaper articles, TV broadcasts, radio advertising, awareness campaigns, bulletins, promotional materials, health fairs, field trips, and workbooks.

Red Cross comprises a team of qualified workers who aim to ensure that individuals’ health is catered to. They use diplomatic tools to ensure the general public has access to their health rights. Red Cross society safeguards individuals from violent rebellion and integrity. It also provides needy people with health and disaster assistance. Since Red Cross Society is neutral and impartial, it alleviates suffering by boosting and enforcing humanistic law and universal humanistic fundamentals.
