Ethnic and racial inequalities have been crucial issues to address within American society. Racial inequality was experienced by many people of color living in the US, and that became a big concern for many people. Effectively combatting the problem could not be undergone by a single individual. That is why a lot of different organizations and groups were created in the US in order to address the issue of racial inequality.

There are a variety of issues that the people of color living in the US are currently facing. Among them are challenges associated with unfair violence, lack of criminal justice, and security. Next, the pressure comes from the ignorance of the cultural differences of minority groups. Another pressing issue is that many people of color, including immigrants, do not have enough financial resources to protect their legal rights. Finally, the essential problem to mention is the civic participation of people of color. All these concerns are addressed by different organizations that aim to achieve racial equality both in the country and around the world.

The first organization is The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People. It was established as a result of violence toward black people in the US. The organization seeks to protect the civil rights of the people of color living in the country. In addition to their intention to combat unfair violence, they aim to increase the security in different spheres, such as social, educational, economic, and political rights of Afro-Americans. Another organization that was established after the accident of the murder of an innocent black person in the US is Black Lives Matter. The movement is building local power in order to combat violence toward people of color. Cases of unfair violence toward black people are based on the prejudice made upon the color of their skin. It is a problem that should be addressed in modern society in order to eliminate challenges facing people of color.

The next organization is called The Black Youth Project, and it focuses on the problems that may arise as a consequence of cultural differences. People of different races might have different attitudes and resources due to the fact that they have another culture (Roberts et al. 12). The organization examines those differences and explores how culture influences young black people’s decisions. It provides activism training and facilitates writing articles on the topic of racial injustice.

Another organization named The Las Americas Immigrant Advocacy Center focuses on the legal needs of people of color. In particular, it aims to help low-income immigrants who need legal care. Today protecting their legal rights is a big struggle for people of color and low-income groups (Lawson-Borders 28). I think that legal care is one of the key terms to be mentioned when talking about the protection of human rights, be it social, political, or civic rights. Such issues as human rights, criminal justice, and free speech of people of every race are also addressed by the organization named The American Civil Liberties Union. The role of the organizations seeking to protect the rights and advance the law related to equality and justice is crucial.

The next civil rights organization, called Advancement Project, aims to achieve policy change and facilitate social movements. It is concerned with an inclusive and democratic society, which is essential in the context of racial equality. The National Coalition of Black Civic Participation highlights the importance of the civic participation of black people. It is crucial for people of color to be a part of the democratic processes at different levels, be it local or national levels. Civic engagement of black people strengthens justice and equality in society (Webster 2). Eliminating barriers for people of a different race to civic participation could promote stronger social justice.

All of the mentioned organizations are active on social media and are currently promoting their ideas in order to make social change and protect the rights of minority groups. However, there is still a possibility to make their work more effective. First, the organizations need to raise the awareness of more people on the issue of social injustice. Some people might ignore the problem of racial inequality because they do not have enough information on what is happening around them and what challenges are people of color facing (Martin 882). By increasing awareness, organizations and groups will raise the level of empathy.

Next, they should involve more activists and unite people with the same motivation. Simply spreading the information on the topic is not enough because, in order to see the results, real actions should be undertaken. Taking action is easier when there are more people with the same vision and intentions. For example, there is an opportunity to organize local events to collect more donations and attract more volunteers. Finally, it is important to implement innovative tools when solving the issue of social inequality. Effectively managing social media, using QR codes for commercial promotions, and involving public figures and stakeholders could make big progress in the work of the mentioned organizations. I believe that every person should think about how they could take part and contribute to combatting the challenges associated with ethnic inequality.
