My personal affection is deeply connected with mental health care, a prominent theme of discussion for various writers and philosophers. Given the issues surrounding the acceptance of the psychological improvement, namely, mistaken social attitudes and clinical beliefs, I feel determined to continue my research into this subject. Maintaining a proper level of self-esteem, battling negative convictions, and finding your personal internal strength are prominent difficulties encountered by individuals throughout the globe. As the importance of mental welfare is supported by numerous scholars and writers, I hope that public opinions on this topic will soon change.
Examination of My Passion: Mental Health Care
The subject of passion and its significance for various individuals have been the topics of discussion for multiple scholars and thinkers, enveloping the spheres of philosophy, psychology, and social sciences. In my personal experience, enhancing individual well-being and prompting oneself to become better from a psychological standpoint can considerably improve e an individual’s quality of life, providing more possibilities to pursue. The issue of mental health care and the underlying philosophical concepts are often discussed in academic and everyday writings, from such perspectives as ethics, knowledge distribution, and self-help. In this paper, my personal investment in the ideas of mental health care will be discussed in connection to the thoughts shared by respected psychologists and writers.
Psychological Well-Being: My Perspective
Sustaining a proper level of mental welfare is imperative for any individual, prompting them to seek viable solutions to maintain an adequate psychological state. Although there are numerous opinions regarding the importance of inner well-being in relation to other health aspects, I believe that attention should be directed to the complications caused by the lack of appropriate mental support. In the current age, as considerable devotion is addressed to the notions of professional growth and economic success, many people neglect their psychological needs, thus originating adverse consequences. Constant pressure from social institutions and other individuals can result in grievous ramifications, undermining a person’s ability to maintain a happy and healthy lifestyle. My past experiences serve as an example of such neglect, and they partially encourage me to continue the examination of this issue.
The Demand for a Proper Level of Self-Esteem
The contemporary way of living can tremendously diminish one’s opinion of themselves, producing decreased self-esteem and lowering inner strength. People often believe that upholding a positive view of themselves is unimportant or even impossible, leading to such difficulties as lack of confidence, anxiety, and depression. Despite popular beliefs, adequate mental well-being necessitates establishing a stable degree of self-assurance, maintaining satisfaction over one’s traits and personal achievements (Branden 91). Even though it might be exceptionally challenging to continue regarding yourself positively in the light of life’s disappointments, appropriate self-esteem is a crucial part of a good quality of life.
A substantial amount of effort is required to keep upholding personal strength and maintain positivity. Most people often reside to undervalue their accomplishments, creating a negative overview of themselves. A member of the positive psychology movement, Louise Hay, argues that it is necessary to approve of one’s activities and advancements in order to retain genuine inner love and support. The psychologist claims that “you have been criticizing yourself for years, and it hasn’t worked. Try approving of yourself and see what happens” (Hay 20). Although analyzing personal faults is a vital part of growth, constant critique and disbelief can cause severe trauma and a lack of motivation. I believe that accepting your mistakes and striving to improve them is a much more preferable option, which considerably enhances a person’s mental health.
Medical Attitudes towards Psychological Improvement
An essential aspect of inner welfare concerns the clinical convictions regarding this topic. As stated before, numerous individuals can suffer from the outcomes of decreased self-esteem and lack of proper mental health care, which might originate from the surrounding perspective manifested by society members and medical professionals. Although psychological well-being has been proven to be of tremendous significance, this element has been neglected by clinicians for a long time. As claimed by Elyn Saks, a prominent scholar of psychology, “stigma against mental illness is a scourge with many faces, and the medical community wears a number of those faces” (232). There is remarkable opposition towards securing appropriate mental support in contemporary society, as these issues are often invisible and thus regarded as non-essential. Nonetheless, clinical workers often manifest similar stereotypes, which can drastically decrease the well-being of their patients (Saks 232). In my opinion, it is critical to battle not only the social displays of disapproval related to sustaining psychological welfare but also the attitudes of medical personnel.

I feel that achieving substantial results in psychological care demands a proper level of protection and considerable decision-making mastery at the same time.
Another highly appraised theme is related to internal durability and the possibility to find the power needed inside one’s soul. A human’s mental capacity is capable of withstanding a diverse range of negative influences, and successfully rehabilitating after a period of time. Albert Camus, a distinguished author, and philosopher displays his passion for resilience: “In the midst of winter, I found there was, within me, an invincible summer” (29). I am highly impressed by the writer’s understanding of human strength, and my thoughts coincide exactly with his ideas: regardless of the circumstances, a person will always find a way to thrive.
