While Travelodge is one of the UK’s most famous holiday destinations, this business has several drawbacks, one of the most important being security. The fact is that a large number of customers have their own cars, and, accordingly, they need a place for their accommodation. However, parking lots are not provided, and customers complain about the unsafety of this approach (Tripadvisor, 2017). At the same time, employees of the institution, as a rule, cannot help with this issue, which significantly aggravates the situation of drivers. This problem must be addressed as it covers a wide range of potential guests and violates safety regulations. In order to resolve this situation, it makes sense to introduce the concept of total quality management. For example, employees of establishments should receive training on where customers can drop off cars in a way that is safe. At the same time, hotels are in great demand, which means that the number of visitors has increased.
In time, employees must be tested and aware of any changes in nearby parking lots. This will allow specialists to give a quick and prompt response to customers so that a queue does not form. The main tool for regularly updating and supplying fresh parking information can be guards who can monitor the situation outside the hotel. At the same time, such specialists can orient the friends in time without creating any inconvenience. By implementing such a flexible system, customers will be relieved of their worries and Travelodge’s reputation will not suffer (Javidan, 1998). At the same time, safety for cars will increase significantly, which will also be an advantage. Finally, such a solution is beneficial since it does not require financial costs from the hotel for the construction of a parking lot or the installation of additional cameras.
