Writing a research essay is an essential component of academic and education. Most students will be required to conduct research and write essays during the course of their study. However, you may wonder, how the term research essay has been coined.

Once their thesis and research is complete, they can begin taking notes and developing the research essay outline, by adding points to it.
Students should remember to be very organized and avoid bias when writing their essays. They should use in-text citations throughout the body of their research essay to indicate the source. All in-text citations should have a bibliographic entry at the end of their research essay. They should be extremely careful with the use of appropriate citation styles as indicated by their instructor. Commonly used citation styles for writing research essays are APA, MLA, Turabian or Harvard.
