Writing a report is one of the most often practiced activities in all the spheres of life. These spheres include medicine, law, studying, and others. Taking into consideration the importance of this type of writing, it is crucial to learn about different report writing formats.
In fact, there is a number of formats for report writing. What is more, every author can make up their own format and follow it, as long as it is comfortable for them. However, there are still some points to bare in mind while choosing a certain report writing format.

Basically, the formats of report writing differ slightly, so it is necessary to learn the two basic types and follow their requirements further on.
Type 1. The first type of report writing format is theses giving. This type of report writing format is often used to highlight the main ideas of a described event/book/issue. In this report writing format, you need to use short simple sentences or theses, giving the characteristic of a certain issue. For example:

Type 2. The second basic type of report writing format is most often used when there is a need to report to the authority about some event or issue. This type of report writing format includes several parts, as:

- Issue presentation (explanation of problems, questions)
- Facts (giving examples, describing facts)
- Request (request or ask if there are any)
- Conclusion (summary of the mentioned points)
