Accurate Formatting Style for APA Research Papers

APA research paper help

APA research papers are written according to a fixed format with one inch margins on all sides, right and left, top and bottom of the page. The paper is double spaced throughout including after all titles, subtitles, headings, sub headings and quotations. There should be no instances of single spacing or 1.5 spacing anywhere in APA research papers including the final reference or bibliography page.

Each page of an APA research paper is accurately numbered staring with the title page as number 1 and ending with the final section or the reference page. All numbering of an APA research paper is done on the right upper corner of the page by inserting Arabic numerals.

The first page is the title page and is numbered 1. The next page is the Abstract page and is numbered 2. The next page 3 is the beginning page of all your text and all consecutive pages are numbered in sequence.

Each page of the APA research paper has a short title used all throughout the paper, generally written after the page number, as page header. This title is inserted in all pages of your APA research paper. This short title is not the running head of the research paper and should not be confused with it.

The main title of the APA research paper is inserted in the center of the title page and should be in uppercase letters. This page and title will be double spaced like the entire paper. When typing the text of the research paper, begin each paragraph with indentation, generally about five to seven spaces. Titles, heading, subheadings and quotations are not indented in an APA research paper.
